30th TTA Individuals Competition 2012

This November the University  Club competed at the 30th TTA British Championships in Glasgow. We had a great result, winning 7 Golds, 6 Silvers and 3 bronze as well as coming 2nd overall!

Congratualations to everyone who competed and thanks to everyone who came to coach, referee or otherwise support the team. We couldn’t do it without you!

Alumni Sports Challenge 2012

Well done to everyone who competed in the Alumni Sports challenge, and congratulations to the Alumni team for winning.

Everyone’s hard work really showed in the poomsae competition, with some great performances by individuals, pairs, triples, and the whole team poomsae. The competition was fairly close throughout this part of the competition.

We saw some excellent sparring from both teams, and although the Alumni team won most of the sparring everyone from the Student team did well and should be proud of their performance.

Overall the Sports challenge weekend was a great success, a good learning opportunity, and we look forward to it next year!
